Apparently, Siri is a little more human than we thought. After living with Siri for many years now, turns out I know very little about her (or him, if you change the voice style…and now you can select accents, too! Just go to Settings > General > Siri). Fortunately, as with human relationships, it just takes a few questions to learn more!
For example, did you know you could ask Siri to “flip a coin”? Or “roll the dice”? And you can decide how many sides there are to the dice that Siri rolls! Want to know what the latest tweets are from your favorite celebrity? Just ask Siri, “What is (insert Twitter handle) saying?” And for all those countless times you are in a restaurant or grocery store and are bopping your head to the awesome song playing but can’t for the life of you remember who sings it…”Siri, who sings this?” Voila! Your answer!
And if you don’t have time to go see every movie ever released (seriously, who does that?) but still want to be in-the-know when your friends talk about the latest flick they saw, Siri can help! Just ask, “What is (insert movie title) about?” and you’ll get the synopsis, along with a handy option to “Buy” or “Rent” the film!
For something extra cool, ask Siri, “What planes are flying overhead?” Boom, a list of all airlines flying over your head that second! Who knew?!
If all this wasn’t cool enough, there is an entire website devoted purely to getting to know Siri better. It’s aptly named, Hey Siri.
Ok, so maybe all these questions don’t actually help us learn more about who Siri really is (I’m not ruling out the possibility that she/he is sitting at a switchboard answering our questions from a Castle in the European countryside…just sayin’), but they sure are fun to ask her/him! And while you’re at it, look up from your phone or whatever technology device you favor and ask the person sitting next to you how their day is going…that’s also really fun.
