Chromaru
Logic puzzles, lit in color.
Chromaru is a relaxing logic puzzle you solve with color, a calm brain break with a fresh daily. Light a dark stained-glass window one pane at a time. No color twice in a region, and matching colors never touch.
Free on iOS and Android. Visit the official site at chromaru.com.
Three rules. The rest is reasoning.
Light every pane with a color. Each outlined region uses its colors once, so a region of three panes uses the first three. Matching colors never touch, not even at corners. Your first window is a tiny 3×3 board that teaches the rules move by move, and the palette only offers colors that fit the region you selected, so you learn by tapping instead of reading a manual.
Made to be played
- 4,000 fair puzzles, each with exactly one solution reachable by logic alone. Six tiers, from Flicker to Nova, ask for deeper reasoning as you go, on boards from 3×3 up to 8×8.
- A fresh daily every day, easier early in the week and toughest on Saturday, with a streak to keep alive.
- Notes in color. Pencil in the colors a pane might take, undo as far back as you like, and start over any time.
- Your own records, with your fastest time on every puzzle, a trophy when you beat it, and a progress page that stays on your device.
- Color-blind friendly, with optional shapes on every color and an alternate palette one tap away, plus light and dark mode.
- Any way you hold it. Play in portrait or landscape on phones and tablets; turn your phone on its side and the window takes the left, with the palette and controls beside it.
No pressure, fully offline
There are no lives to lose, no time limit, and no account. Every puzzle, the daily, and your progress live on your device, so Chromaru plays without a connection. A clock keeps your time for your own records, and you can pause or leave and come back whenever you like.
Free, and never an ad while you solve
All 4,000 puzzles and the daily are free to play. Ads support the game with a banner on the home screen and puzzle lists, an occasional ad after a finished puzzle, and an optional short video when you ask for a hint. No ad ever appears while you solve.
