Catkuro: Cozy Cat Kakuro

Catkuro is now available on iOS and Android. It is kakuro, the number crossword, turned into a journey: nine cats, one home, and more than 2,000 puzzles waiting once the story is done.

Kakuro, With Whiskers

Catkuro is our second kakuro game, after Kakuro Haven, and this one is all about cats. In Catkuro, the digits on the keypad are cats with names, colors, and personalities. Pip is digit one and sits in the sun. Beans has opinions about the sofa. Onyx, digit nine, turns up at midnight like he owns the place.

You start with four of them already home. Solving puzzles through Act 1 brings the other five home, and the later Acts fill the house with cozy places and favorite things.

Three Rules, Taught by the Story

You do not need to know kakuro to start. Every run of white squares must add up to the clue at its head, a digit can never repeat inside a run, and each square belongs to two runs at once. Where the two runs agree on a single digit, you have your answer.

The story teaches all of this one small board at a time. Your first puzzle is four cats and a handful of squares. By the last chapter, you are solving grids that would have looked impossible on day one.

A Journey, a Library, and a Puzzle Every Morning

  • Twenty-five chapters across five storybook Acts, with a trail of paw prints that inks in as you go and something new in the scene at the end of every chapter.
  • 2,000+ Free Play puzzles. Finish the story and all four Free Play tiers open at once, from Kitten Steps to Purrfect Puzzlers.
  • A daily challenge that arrives with Free Play: the same puzzle for everyone on the same date, with no account and no connection needed.
  • Tools that teach, including pencilmarks in five colors for chasing more than one idea at once, a combination row that shows every way the current clue can be made, and unlimited undo so nothing you try is ever expensive.

No Ad Interrupts Your Solve

While a puzzle is open, the screen is yours. There is no banner, no pop-up, and no “watch this to continue.” Deduction hints are free, and optional rewarded help (revealing the selected cell or filling the grid with pencil marks) is always your choice.

Ads appear between puzzles and on the menus, and that is what keeps everything free. One optional purchase permanently removes banners and interstitial ads. There is never a subscription.

The Cats Are Ready When You Are

Every puzzle plays offline, with no account or sign-up required, and Catkuro is made for phones and tablets with a layout for each.

Catkuro is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
